I left the trading post and have entered what i think is the swamp. I came to a sign post that points one way to "Jerod's Trading Post" and the other way to "The Dark Forest" ... so I went towards the dark forest .. but can't seem to go any further. Is it in here somewhere that I meet the traveler that sends me to
the bandit cave? Please help me continue towards the dark forest ... thanks!

Am sorta lost .. in swamp, I think
It's been a while since I played, so I'm not sure how much help I can be. IIRC, the dark forest is the area with the Traveler camp, and the swamp is the next area. If you're just trying to advance in the game, then the swamp is where you want to be, and the exit to the next area is on one of the islands. You'll recognize it because there should be a couple of goblins with lightning guns there.

If your in the swamp a wooden trail leads you to a large land mass without any access to other land. There you find the mouth of a cave that you must pass throu to continue playing. Stock up on potions because the fighting can be tough and there is a fair amount of area to explore. I mean to say there are some areas that are more difficult to explore.
