magic for non-mages

Post by ahab »

Currently I have a level 65 melee half giant. Pretty straight up melee. I got bored and equiped some nature magic spells to my main char and used them as his main attack. Then ran through some guys that were a few levels lower than me. Took me less than 30 minuites and I was up to nature magic level 34. Things really started to slow down then. But they were a big help to my party.

Using wrath of the bear gives +87% damage to critical hits and a duration of well over 1500 @ nature magic level 34 its a good help.

Life embrace adds 4% health steal. Duration of 900.

Wind embrace adds 9% chance to dodge. Duration of 1500.

Now combat magic on a melee fighter... not quite so good. With their short durations (<30 for my level) the melee fighter has to stop with their primary attack and do the spell. If you wanted someone to attact attention (a tank) plauge or some such would work great.

Yeah, just use your tank to cast curse spells with damage per second. It is the best provoke method, and if you rise debiliation then you have access to corosive eruption. :D

I think the Warth of the Bear is the most useful, with high critical rate, those can be killing ones.
