I have been curious about....

Post by StardancerDS »

what Taar says as we enter Xeras (spelling probably wrong) Temple near the end of act 1. She says "Don't leave me" then "I am frightened" but the rest of the conversation is cut off because the monsters start attacking.

Can someone tell me the rest of the conversation?

Regards

The game breaks off conversations all the time. The only silver lining is that they're badly written, badly acted, and don't lead anywhere, so you're not missing much. I've played through the game a few times now, and I can't remember how that conversation with Taar goes, or even if I've ever heard it all the way through. There isn't the possibility of a romance or anything.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

You did not miss anything there. Or say, you only missed the end dialog choice.

Also, this dialog (it makes no sense to me) and all such dialogs (only a small # of them make sense) make no difference whatsoever in your game progress.

Like the others said, the dialog doesn't lead anywhere.

A pity, actually, for I would have wished for that to happen. Other RPGs exist that offer more in dialog.

I actually went through that sequence twice and was able to get the entire thing to play through.

Taar goes on to say that "I don't want to die" and such. Your character reassures her, telling Taar that you would have to die before they could get to her.

It actually caused me to raise my eyebrows in wonder since my character was male. I thought, maybe, GPG would figure in some interactive fun in the game. Well, they don't. Not with Taar, not with Eva, nothing.

When you get to Veteran or Elite play, though, bring Vix along when you go to talk to Finala (but leave Deru out of the party). The dialog they have between those two is probably the best they have in the game (that's not saying much).
