Zomematch, Network and Program Version

Post by ak_edm »

I have 2 computers hooked up to each other through a Linksys Router, and they can both simultaneously access the internet though the DSL box hooked up to the router. Players on each computer can Multiplayer/Network together to play the same map either as a host or "joiner". And players can access Zonematch to join or host a game there.

However players on each computer cannot join the same Zonematch game. I want to have one computer join or host a Zonematch game on the net, and the other computer join the same game.

I've tried...

1) Both computers joining a Zonematch game. The result is first computer can join while the second computer receives a "game not found at specified address" error. No matter which computer is first I get the error.

2) One computer hosting a Zonematch game. The result is others from the Zone can join, but not the second computer. I've tried accessing the host (the first computer) through the Zone, and I get a "game not found..." error. I've tried accessing the host through Multiplayer/Network, and I get an "incompatible version" error.

I've downloaded the update. Both computers have it installed, so they are the same version. So it's not a version error but I still get the version error message.

And this "game not found at specified address" error pops up way too frequently. Even when I'm trying to join a Zonematch game other than one hosted by my other computer.

I just want everyone to see and play together. Anyone else run across this?
