Armour in Kotor, some ideas.
An idea...
You could create a 3-stage Feat that would allow you to use force powers with different armors.
Etc:
1. Allows you to use "Level 1" Force Powers in Light Armor. All force powers are used with a -6 modifier. Force Powers cost 50% more Force Points. 10% Chance of failure when casting.
2. Allows you to use "Level 1, 2" Force Powers in Light Armor and Medium Armor. All force powers are used with a -4 modifier. All force powers are used with a -4 modifier. Force Powers cost 40% more Force Points. 8% Chance of failure when casting.
3. Allows you to use "Level 1, 2, 3" Force Powers in Light Armor, Medium Armor and Heavy Armor. All force powers are used with a -2 modifier. Force Powers cost 30% more Force Points. 6% Chance of failure when casting.
Because this is a very powerfull feat you could have restrictions like, Requires:
Conditioning - Imp. Conditioning - Master Conditioning
And certain statitical restrictions such as:
+14 Strength to be able to do all the movement in armor.
+14 Wisdom to be able to "focus your mind" in armor.
You could also make certain uppgrades to armors that would allows this:
+Movement Uppgrade 1 - Allows casting of "level 1 Force Powers", only works in Light Armor. All force powers are used with a -6 modifier. Force Powers cost 50% more Force Points. 10% Chance of failure when casting.
+Movement Uppgrade 2 - Allows casting of "level 1 and 2 Force Powers", only works in Light- and Medium Armor. All force powers are used with a -4 modifier. Force Powers cost 40% more Force Points. 8% Chance of failure when casting.
+Movement Uppgrade 3 - Allows casting of "level1 , 2 and 3 Force Powers", works in Light- Medium- and Heavy Armor. All force powers are used with a -2 modifier. Force Powers cost 30% more Force Points. 6% Chance of failure when casting.
You could also make an Force Power that allows:
Level 1 Force Focus: Allows the next spell to be casted in any kind of armor.
Level 2 Force Focus: Allows the next two spells to be casted in any kind of armor.
Level 3 Force Focus: Allows the next three spells to be casted in any kind of armor.
Just some ideas.

Great idea out there man. By the way - can you explain me how does modifier affect Force powers (when you use them), call me a noob, but I never knew that

they should have more of a greater selection of both force using armor and robes. the sail shey thing was rediculous. can they have an all black sith armour or silver or gold armour used for force powers. and as for robes. there needs to be more then 8 robes. i would like to get some more cloak like robes with hoods that can be put up. i know everyone has said that but i will say it again. even some robes with out capes or hoods for lightsabre masters. i want more sith lord masks like nihilius's. they should have a bunch of them. it could prevent annoying remarks on your features from your party members if you are evil or your evil companions from doing the same.

I wanna be able to fully dress in suit that resembles a Fett uniform. Not something called a Fett uniform, saving up a lot of money to buy it and then just finding out it looked liked purple armour. Also, in KOTR I, on Manaan with the bounty hunting classes, I would really like to have the Iridorian (I hope that's what it's called) armour.

A Fett uniform? Nice. I wonder if it comes with a standard jet pack with a missile launcher that I always see in the movies. It will look cool plus the armour will have some attack capabilities to make it more useful aside for defense only.
This might sound off-topic but what about including helmets in the game? Not only will it provide some protection but also look good especially when wearing armour.

That's not off-topic. But yeah, loose helmets and hoods don't sound bad. And what about the whole armour loos: Helmet/hood - Greaves - Boots/shoes - Cuirras, enz. And like just in the previous 2 kotors Belts, gauntlets, visors (but than the helm wouldn't fit, or just helmets you can upgrade with a visor function). Oyes, almost forgot; Capes, that would be cool with all different colours and patterns. And why not able to paint your entire armour/robe?
So, that is what i wanted to say.

About the helmet part, is it possible to give it a slot-in function? That's if you want to slot in a visor into a helmet (May sound a little silly, though).
If the game could divide up the clothing into different sections like footwear, pants, torso and gloves (just like Fable TLC), It'll be great.

Painting your cape, armour or clothing sound great. At least you will stand out from the crowd and look better than the standard colour.
Off-topic: By the way, where is everyone? It feels like I'm the only inhabitant on this KOTOR 3 forum.....

i thought revan's armor was the-for lack of a better or appropriate term-stuff
it would be nice, if you cant get revan as a playable character, to at least get his armor or mask
i mean it suxed when you couldnt wear nihilus's mask, im like wtf
most robes look pretty bad on characters. dark jedi master robes are ok, and its been awhile since i played kotor 1 so i cant remember what bandon's armor was like.
i usually use mandalorian assault armor in kotor2, offers highest defense but does restrict force powers. those zeison sha and jal shey armors look rly bad

I don't know about anybody else but dosn't it annoy you when you see: Mandilorian Battle armour, then you rush to put it on only to find that its just Heavy battle armour painted blue and doesn't have the infamous egg shape helmet?

Hoods
Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I haven't read ALL the posts. I think it'd be great if you could put up the hood of your jedi robe. Like seriously, which movies haven't had somebody without their hood up (actually, can't think of any parts in ep 5 at the moment. minor detail) ? and besides, it's pointless to have a hood on your robe but not be able to put it up.
also, i think you should be able to find a copy of revan's entire armor set that you can wear. true you get revans robes on teh star forge in kotor 1, but thats late in the game. and you dont even get the hood or mask? what kinda bull is that?

as well, if there's going to be a zabrak party member that can become a jedi, f***ing allow him to wear robes. in kotor 2, i had baodur running around in zeishon and jalshey crap. he looked so inconsistant than other members did (minus droids and mandalore). thats most of the reason i never used him. what good is a jedi that cant use force powers, even if he IS a guardian.
It's long but read it, please
How about this:
you have armour elements for each part of the body: left foot, right foot, right leg between foot and knee, right leg above knee, etc. Each of them has following stats:
weight- how much it reduces movement of the joints next to them
hardness- how much it decreases damage dealt
capability- how much it takes to destroy it (can't be less then hardness)
Chance to hit is determined only by mobility, and thick armour shrugs some (or all) of the damage. It is worn over the clothes, wich are supposed to protect against enviroment (fire, cold, elecrical, etc.) and possibly improves some bodily functions. You can, of course, paint each element any color you want. Elements can be bought, crafted or scavenged (from dead opponents :mischief: ). High skill used for crafting (probably repair) means less waste of material, and of course better shape ( wich means less weight with same hardness and capability).
In combat, player can choose wich body part he wants to attack, and each of them has its own VP. The game calculates when the player's consciousness using VP values for all body parts and you can see your consciousness points instead of regular VP and you can see condition of your body parts on a picture in bottom-right corner, like in Mech-Warrior. When VP of some part of the body runs low it reduces its mobility.
Almost forgot: certain Force Powers demand certain mobility of certain parts of the body.
