Game Glitch

I was in Zaramoths Horns and it was getting late so i shut down for the night. today i went to get back on and i went to the Peak of the Dark Wizards and the portal wasn't there. i don't know of any other way to get over there. has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it? as long as it's not starting over. i don't know how to use the back up saves so if that might help let me know.

The back up saves are at:

C:\Documents and Settings\(your name)\My Documents\My Games\Dungeon Siege 2\Save\SinglePlayer\(your char name)

You have 4 files there:

.ds2party
.ds2party.bak
.ds2radar
.ds2radar.bak

Just move those without the .bak extension somewhere (to keep them safe just in case) and then rename the other two by removing the .bak extension and leaving them with .ds2party and .ds2radar extentions.

Try that first and see if it works.

It'll take me a bit to try that. i have to format and reinstall everything due to a windows screw up. very weird one at that. all the capital K's are missing on file names and immovable text is now missing weird things. be back in a few days.

The Portal to Zaramoth's Horns is NOT at the Peak of the Dark Wizards, it is opened by the Agallan giants after you complete the Agallan trial.

Open your lorebook and read the quest details if you have forgotten where this is.

Thank you, i'll have to do that. i am still unable to do anything with the game as my computer is still disabled and unable to run many things as many programs continually crash and i would hate to have my game become corrupted so i will probably have to wait until i am able to repair the issue. thanks for the help.
