Drizzt's Scimitars

Post by Aegis »

I've searched the forum (Both SoA, and ToB) and I haven't been able to find an answer to my question. In SoA, right after I beat Bodhi in chapter six, I am approached by Malchoir Harpel, asking for Drizzt's equipment. The thing is, I was a naughty boy, and kileld Drizzt when I first encountered him, yet I can never keep his scimitars, because they are always taken from me. Can someone tell me if I do something in SK, or something else to get rid of this problem, because this leaves me without two very effective weapons.

P.S. I've also tried to CLUA them in afterwards, but it doesn't work.

Not sure if this would work, but I too had the same thing happen, and I started to wonder what would've happened if I'd gone straight to market and sold some of the stuff (with the idea, of course, to buy it back later). Like I said, I don't know if that'll work, but I do know that mage is imppossible to kill. Maybe if you even keep a couple items to 'appease' him, then buy the swords back from a merchant. On the downside, a suspect that as soon as you buy them back he may reappear.

What if you use shadowkeeper to just add them instead of killing drizzt and then taking them. With Malachor Harper show up then because as far he knows, drizzt never lost his scimitars.
Crush enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the women.

@Ned: I've tried to SK them in, with no luck :(

@Doc: I'm gonna give that a try.

No way to do it, except thru shadow keeper, some flag is set in global var,
like drizztitems

and this global var is created as soon as you grab or create some.

do a save before getting, then one after, and compare the two global lists. unset the flag to 0, and this should work. sorry, I fooled around with this and can't remember the exact var.

I wanted twinkle for jaheira, and could not equipp it.
They call me Darth...

Darth Gizka!

KensaiRyu has a little script that stops the wizard from showing up. You can download it atbgscripts.
Lars the GrimReaper, all powerful hacked sorcerer of the Shadow Mages.

Kick it!

Did you try quickly going into your inventory, dropping the swords on the ground, talking to this Harpel fellow, then picking the swords up again?
