Two things- Please use "Spoiler" tags on your thread title for threads that reveal information about a game. The other, please refrain from using profanities.
It Depends on your build for how to take him down, the builds are unbalanced and gives you the option to go hard or easy on the game. If you take spirit/earth, you really can just fly through the game, but if you went melee, then you're gonna have a tough time with the game.
Just my perspective is all, keep tryin, he'll come down eventually.

Typhon Help
I have found that with casters , Typhon is very easy to take down. Simply stay close to the stares and start casting , when he comes close to you run out of thee arena , he doesnt fallow you out of thee arena, rinse and repeat. My lvl 35 Oracle does complete olympus runs in less than 5 minutes , hope this helps.

I just finished him off the first time and god all mighty was that difficult. I am a melee type char - warfare/defense - and I used over a 100 potions, got killed oh 5 or 6 times before I managed to finish him off. It was very annoying indeed and to top it off the reward was zero - nothing in items really.
Run around, wait for him to release fire, plus that ice thing, then hit health potion and get close, hit him two or three times, run away, repeat the process. That works. It took me 5 deaths to figure it out, once I did, I finished him off right away. The statues aren't an issue either if you stand behind them, 180 degrees from the Titan while you destroy them.

And He whispered to me in the darkness as we lay together, Tell Me where to touch you so that I can drive you insane; tell Me where to touch you to give you ultimate pleasure, tell Me where to touch you so that we will truly own each other. And I kissed Him softly and whispered back, Touch my mind.
Wait, the stautese do something?
Me and my friend play lan together and he went down fast, we were disapointed. He does to a lot of damage with some attacks, but so do we.
My friend: Rogue/storm, tons of bleeding damage drained his life quick
Me: Spirit/nature, Terrion attack in my opinion is over powered, and my lich, nymph, and an outsider.
We didn't notice you could attack the statues until after we killed him.
We also went through everything, so I don't know if we were higher level than other people. I'll see if he remembers what level we were.
Ashen, I thought he always dropped tons of items, well, once you click the Boss orb (its like a big chest).

He went down fast because of the combos you have, it's too easy - there's a thread further down called best build where people are discussing this.
Oh and he did drop them, ie the orb but there was nothing special in it. I was rather disappointed. Not even a blue one in there, not a single green. I was lvl 31 before it, now I've gone to Epic and I am finding better things in the very first store in Greece than I got from him.

hmmm ...
i am amazed that i read that its considered hard with a melee character ...
i am main defender + around 12 points in warfare ..
i defeated typhon easily , i died once because i underestimated that fire spray which took down around 2000 health ...
i tried again later and he went down easy again , i just charge him , shield batter and hit just walk around when he inhales for fire breath ...
i used around 5 - 10 potions i think , and didnt hit the statues once , he even healed himself at 40 % , but i got it down farely quick again

Yeah, you say it's easy then, but wait till you get to Epic and Legendary, not gonna be the same at all. I can guarentee that.

About Typhon,
I am pure melee, as in Defense/warfare masteries and when I met Typhon on normal mode, I smacked him silly.
I never took the time to go to any of the statues or the shrines, as I didn't need them.
I didn't do that, cause when I did do that, hedestroyed a statue and used that power, so I didn't do that anymore.
And about him dropping stuff, I farmed him like 20 times, but the best I ever got was 1 green item which wasn't even worth putting on, the rest was all crappy yellow items.

typhon is actualy not so bad~
i'm warfare+rogue and with full points on most of the passive skills (no lethal strike or any "horn" type skill or the fighters summon skill) i get typhon down in like less then 30 sec so every olimpus run+killing typhon takes me less then 5 min'... btw the statues gives special powers that each have- to- typhon.. theres a big chance that when you get him a little bit close to one of them he will take the power of that statue and use it~ so if you break the statues you actualy get him to use only regular attacks and flamethrower
(thats his basic).
so who ever has some dificulties, can go for the statues first.
moreover, after 2 hours of farming i got alot of blue items and also lots of epic relics! i corently wear some items i got from him: a troy mask+bracers and good relics on one of my swords and on my talisman
cant wait farming him in like 10+ levels for better equip~~

My character is brigand (hunter/rogue) and I realy didn't have much problems killing Typhon. Combo of Mastery shrine + Battle marker + Blade honing + Lethal strike (lvl 4) and with good spear he was dead in 15-20 sec!!!
If you die, it's better to exit the game and try again (backup your save before Olympus run). This way you don't lose EXP, and you will allways be able to use shrines

Im full Spirit with maxed out Licheking and wraithshell (70% dmg resist)
but my olympus runs still take easely 30 minutes. Im this >< close in
uninstalling the game due to imbalance...
Really makes me angry . I have killed him 3 times now and all he
ever dropps for me is crappy yellow stuff thats barely keeping up with
the cost for all the pots it takes to kill him.
I hope they will release a patch soon that will balance the classes abit
more and give us "specializing" players, abit more power.

Umm, they did release a patch that does balance character classes. Click on your auto updater in the Titan Quest main menu (I forget what it's called, but it'll say update or something similar).
