Welcome to GameBanshee, Selty
Some of the ideas in here would get me registered too, if not for the fact that I already am
Selty wrote:Basically, I like a lot of the ideas that are circling around on here, but I think we should put more focus on the storyline. I honestly put TSL above KOTOR on my list (blasphemy!), because I felt the story had a lot more intruige for me and the characters were a lot more interesting (minus Mical and Brianna, I liked the idea of romantic rivals...but they were both kind of boring, for me). I honestly love that game to pieces and I would rate it number 1 on my list, that and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines.
i find that surprising, i preferred #1 myself. to each their own, however
yes, Mical is rather boring. he's part of the reason i rarely play a female Exile. Handmaiden could do with a bit of a less depressing voice actress.
Selty wrote:What I would like to see is more animated cut-scenes! I am eager to see how they could up the bars with that area. More fluid movements and reactions! With all the new tech gaming has going on they can add in facial expressions, unique hand gestures, cool combat moves and tons more.
if by "animated cut-scenes" you mean like the battle between Bastila and a dark Jedi (when you land on Telos, and when you save her from Vulkars), then yeah, i wouldn't mind seeing more of them. they could make for some better trailers, imo.
on the other hand, if you mean when you're talking to a character and they repeat the same actions over and over again within a few seconds, i would love some variety as well.
Selty wrote:I have to admit I like having the preset faces, all of them look great and attractive in their own way.
More character development, TSL lost that aspect and I felt that perhaps with so many team-mates, it would be difficult to punch in so many life long stories in such a short time span(for non-hardcore gamers
). Iunno, maybe a few less party members and more expendable ones? I'm not suggesting going into recruiting and strategy a la C&C or something, but perhaps a few plot-dependant minor character you have to take with you on one or two quests?
character development is a definite must. that's the only thing i'm not looking forward to with TFU, it seems like there'll be very little, if any, character customization. but i'm getting off track.
in terms of faces, i'd like to see more, and maybe a possibility to slightly alter them (add a scar, maybe darken or lighten skin tone, etc.). when i say more, i'm also talking multi-racial. between both games, i think there are maybe 10 oriental faces in total between male and female. not to be racist, but i usually only play whites. that's just preference, though. a variety of faces would be a bit better, however.
Selty wrote:What I focus on in any game is immersiveness, and storyline. I hope others feel the same way about rpgs as well and don't focus entirely on shoot em ups.
agreed. i love rpgs. i think the last first person shooter i played was Perfect Dark for N64. the odd time i've played Halo, but i'm no screaming fan about it.

Can't forget to add the romance plots, they always tie in nicely with a good plot. Admit it. :3
yep. K2 lost that one. it's not perfectly obvious to me what the romance even was. idk who the love was actually for from the male exile, anyway. could have been Visas, coulda been Brianna, or both. and in all honesty, i preferred Mira anyway, despite her attitude and "bounty this, bounty that". sorry Kreia, but you just aren't my type
