Romancing your team

I'm going to start Mass Effect, and I wanted to know if you had to keep your romance-option in your team the whole time for the subplot to develop. I intend to swap teammembers around regularly.

I haven't read any other threads about Mass Effect yet, as to avoid spoilers.

I don't think you need to have your romance option in your team, ever.

Thanks, that will save me some tactical headaches.

Yes, I'm the kind of person that plans his party/tactics/characters even before installing the game...
