New Run, need tips on Installation order and more

Post by Bescheid »

Hi there, im up for a new run through with mods this time. Havent tested it before and read about everything i could find in the forums, this is my suggestion of components and installation order (first first and so on):

BG +ToB with latest patch
G3 Anneversery Mod
Parts of the Unfinnished Buisness mod
Ascension
G3 NPC lvl 1 Mod
G3 Fixpack
SCSII (Sword Coast Stratagems 2) Not all parts but much of it
G3 Tweak pack, just some of it

Well what do you think, is it the right order? Id better ask before installing ;)
And as well any tips? Any speacial parst in these mods or so, all thoughts welcome!

Thx // Gustav

1. BG +ToB with latest patch
2. Ascension
3. G3 Fixpack
4. G3 Anniversary Mod
5. Unfinnished Business
6. G3 NPC lvl 1 Mod
7. G3 Tweak pack
8. SCSII

That should be close to optimal ,also G3 Tweak pack can be installed after SCSII.

Almost the same

Hi, thx. have gotten almost the same suggestion over at BioWare but with the NPC mod last. Do you think it matters?

BG +ToB with latest patch
Ascension
G3 Fixpack
G3 Anneversery Mod
Parts of the Unfinnished Buisness mod
G3 Tweak pack, just some of it
SCSII (Sword Coast Stratagems 2) Not all parts but much of it
G3 NPC lvl 1 Mod

I'd put the NPC mods before the Tweak Pack, because it stands to reason you'd want things affecting those particular party NPCs to be tweaked along with everything else.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Hi again, I´m going to install the game again (had to reinstall windows ;() and I am going to use the same mods + weidus item upgrade mod. Anyone knows when in the installation order i should put it?

Edit: oh and im installing some tactics content: Kuroisan the Acid Kensai, The Ritual, Lich in the docks, Gnome illusionist/warrior in the docks. Should these come just before SCSII or where in the list should it go?

Tweaks must always be installed after SCSII, otherwise they will not affect monsters added by SCSII.

After fixpack and world changing mods, before scsii and tweaks.

Although you can install them after scsii, as they do not affect each other at all.
I tend to, for example, install asylum after SCSII, for easier de-instalation

Herp derp, not in 2009. Back then SCSII specifically allowed for the Tweakpack's content so it could go either before or after it.

Hi everybody, I'm back to the game after quite a long time.
I have the same problem of Beshed, having to reinstall everything on my PC.
I have a coupple of questions related:
1) What to install Baldurash fix pack or G3 fix pack?
2) I'll install most of the mods already quoted (Ascension/UB/NPC1/Tweak (parts)) plus Ease of Use/Tactics/Item upgrade, which I think should go after, and finally NPC mods (Sola, Tashia, Valen, Sarileth) which I thing should go last, is it correct?
3) I want to install BG Tutu, when is more convenient to install it (before or after the complete BG2 installation with al these mods)?
thanks for the help
