Mage helm
Worst looking gear I've ever seen in any game.

It could have been worse, you know. A pointy hat, for instance. I seem to recall somebody actually making those for Morrowind and Oblivion.Ragin Cajun wrote:Worst looking gear I've ever seen in any game.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

No, just for a fashion-challenged one.Ragin Cajun wrote:Reminiscient of Elminster? At least that's aesthetically correct for a mage..lol.

There was a mod like this for the KotOR games which I always installed.mr_sir wrote:I must admit, one thing I really would have liked them to add to the game is the option to turn the helmet animations off as most of the time the helmets don't really match the armour at all ... and look silly - unless they are part of an item set.
At least in DAO, they had characters take off the helms for dialogue and cutscenes.
If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.
think I will just wait for an item mod. I like helmets but those caps are great for beginner things but geeze they get old quick and certainly looks bad for higher level gears...
want hoods and crowns/circlets or something...
pope hats and graduation caps will do fine too XD
PS.
loving the default avatar; what game was it from?

Same thing for NWN2 if I recall correctly. Only main character had his helmet; cohorts had invisible helmets even while exploring.Nightmare wrote:There was a mod like this for the KotOR games which I always installed.

I quite liked the headpieces in KotOR though...
Besides the helms, I think the mage robes should have more variety. They are relatively few and similar (except for the sexy outfit Morrigan sports).
I may be drunk, krogan, but you're ugly. And tomorrow I'll be sober.

I kinda wished they either: removed the helm animations altogether, make 'em actually 'match' for once Or.. make some Tiaras, Diadems, ect (especially for mages) that look just always work for mehedgewizard wrote:I agree. Perhaps a mod will run around that'll do just that. I wasn't a fan of the red iron helms myself.

Or, you could even check out this thread.. You know, the one close to the top of the DA:O forum that says "Dragon Age Mod Guide."
