Best KotOR game

Post by Darth Juhani »

Which is your best KotOR game? Personally mine's number 2 because I prefer the storyline but the ending is quite disappointing, but I like the way you can influence your companions.

KotOR is still a very good game but, I dunno, I still prefer KotOR 2.

Had K2 been finished, not contained fatal bugs that were never fixed, not been so full of scripted events that took control away from the player effectively had it been made by Bioware not [expletive deleted] Obsidian, then I probably would have voted for it. As it stands, easily K1, because it was finished, didn't contain (in my experience) fatal bugs that were never fixed, and didn't constantly force actions and decisions on the player and wrest control away too often.

My opinion as well, I loved them both, but sometimes the bugs in K2 gets on my nerves. So my vote is for k1.
I'm back with a vengeance!

Yeah I get your point. There are plenty of bugs in KotOR 2 and they do get on my nerves.

despise being incomplet I still like kotor 2 over kotor one (it had robes!) :D but seriously for me it had better npcs, even better antagonists. I only wish proyect gizka would be done sooner :D

This is all true. But I still voted for 2... I just prefer the darker tones to it. In the same way that I prefer Hitman: Contracts to Blood Money, despite the latter being much easier to navigate and control.
I'm not sure the comparison between K1 and 2 is always fair - I think you basically have to play K2 in the full knowledge that it's a bit unfinished, and there are quite a few holes in it. Otherwise it's utterly irritating, and I can see why some people can't stand it. But it's never really got in the way of me enjoying the game. (Perhaps the ending of K2 bothers me less because I rarely get that far before starting a new character...)

Voted for the second game, for reasons that have been posted countless times. See this topic for details.
