DL code should be released
DL code should be released
Gothic 3 code was released to the community group and the game was greatly improved. I feel the same should be done for Dungeon Lords c1.5. The theatre brick needs to be fixed so everyone can get into the treasure room on the bottom floor. It's being looked into by myself and "File Read Error". C'mon gamers, let's get cracking and do some fixes for DL.

Currently I'm not playing DL any more but I just looked into the brick and found a possible way to fix it. I didn't try it yet but maybe my idea will work. Go into D6PROP.DAT with your hex editor and jump to offset 2566h. Change this byte from 40h to 80h, maybe that will do the trick but I'm not sure.

I'll try that and get back...
Er... thought I would try, but cant find offset 2566H because it's an odd number of digits. Exactly what view are you using in your hex editor?

Never mind, I was just looking at it wrong. Doesn't seem to change anything. Will look into the 1.4 game file, but they might be the same.

After changing that one byte, it matches the game version 1.4 values for the D6PROP.DAT. Will continue browsing the files. tnx

I've looked inside and compared many files of versions 1.4 and c1.5, and thus far I see no reason why the theatre brick in c1.5 doesn't work. Even compaired the two dlords.exe files.
It must have something to do with event timing and triggering

update today, 4/26/10: I substituted the D6TRIG00 to 63 files from 1.4 into 1.5 one at a time and that didn't solve the theatre brick problem. I strongly suspect the 1.5 dlords.exe is the problem.
