How to get the MIRV launcher? *spoilers*

Post by 101VRanger »

Hey there :)

I think I have walked every inch of the National Guard Depot and there's no note or terminal with a password to access the armory's door, ***spoilers*** to get the MIRV launcher if it is there I suppose.

Maybe I should get it through another NPC or somewhere outside the National Guard Depot?

thanks on advance :)

EDIT: nevermind, found it already :)

Getting the MIRV - Spoilers

First you need to get the armory door to open. You need to fight your way past the robots to the very top of the ruined building where you will eventually find a switch on the wall. Activate the switch and the first set of armory doors will finally open. You can look down through all the blasted out floors and actually see it happening from where the switch is located. Go into the armory, kill the guard robots and open the second door, its not locked. Now you are in the area with the Small Guns Bobblehead and all the weapons. At the rear of this area is another locked door and a monitor. If you have retrieved all five holotapes with the password numbers the door will open as soon as you activate the monitor. You don't actually enter any info and just knowing the numbers won't help - you have to have all five holotapes. Once this door is opened you can enter and loot the place and find the MIRV. I've only encountered one Glowing One ghoul inside here.

yeah it's pretty difficult to find the 5 holotapes but it worths it ... nevertheless, using this MIRV instead of the Fatman is just a waste of mininukes if u ask me, but the blast effect is quite impressive ... ;)
