home made d&d
the group that i run with 4 d&d made there own version. i think that this home made version allows 4 more freedom. what i mean is that when u play on this version u can make stuff up and there is no reel restrictions. and just about any one can D.M. in fact the main D.M. calls our version story writing i find it a lot of fun!!!!! :mischief:
Do you mean in terms of rules or setting?
I ran a mini campaign last year using the general rules but quite loosely, the setting and story were original as were a selection of the monsters - I find the trick is to use the existing material to aid in creation of the new stuff and make it quicker. The party fought a giant walrusy thing for example, but its stats were largely based on a dire bear to save time.

if u were to compare our system with the other systems 1 2 3 3.5 and 4.0
it would be most like version 1. for the most part we play on a planet called terancea and on terancea things like the fairy dragons, and the god killers. were made.
if u want to know what the god killers and fairy dragons are gust ask.
