Multiclassing (3.5)

Post by Aristai »

Hello forums

I have a few concerns about multiclassing, and how that will affect my character at epic level. He is currently a level 5 Druid, but I am considering taking some levels in Rogue, possibly up to Rogue level 5.

Say for instance I got to level 20, being a 15th level Druid and a 5th level Rogue. Would i then have to reach level 20 as a Druid before any epic progression, bringing my total level up to 25? Or can you start gaining epic feats and such at combined level 20, regardless of your individual class levels?

Thanks

For character progression, you would reach epic at 21st level no matter what. But to get epic progression for class levels, you are required to be level 21 in that class. Your character would basically be epic but not an epic druid.

Thank you, just a quick follow up question- if as a Druid i have multiple attacks due to a high base attack bonus and I take a level in rogue that only has a BAB of +1, does that +1 get added to all my attacks or just the first one?

Base attack applies to all classes, so yeah you'd get a bonus to all.

Keep in mind one thing though, once you reach 20th level you stop receiving any bonus's to base attack of any kind. You get an attack bonus instead (the difference being that after 20th level, you stop receiving extra attacks from high base attack bonuses).
