Anyone going to E3?
Anyone going to E3?
Is so, please let the rest of us know what you saw (ie. the Lara Croft model), and what we can expect from the gaming industry in the near future.

I'm going, but I will not be looking for the Lara Croft model.
I will probably not avoid studying the Imagine Media receptionists in spandex jeans, however.
And I will gladly report on what I find. One initial impression, in advance, thanks to all the appointments I've made: a *lot* of hitherto PC game companies are now running like lemmings for all the console platforms at once. Not because they don't feel PCs mean money, but because they don't have the piece of it that exists in consoles.

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Oh! I should also have the latest info on Pool of Radiance. I specifically asked UbiSoft about this title (which they acquired when they bought SSI/Mindscape from The Money Pit Known As The Learning Company), and it's still on schedule for a September ship date at this time.

Well, that was serendipitous. I just got a call back from Bioware's PR folks, on the floor of E3. I'm scheduled to see Neverwinter Nights, Throne of Bhaal, and the stuff they've got for the new Star Wars RPG they're doing for Lucasarts. I'll let ya know what I see, as soon as I get back.

Oh, one other thing. As soon as I mentioned posting something about the Star Wars RPG on GameBanshee Forum, they immediately knew what place I meant. It's nice to have this place recognized.

It's the largest international convention of game-related software, hardware, and peripherals, held each year either in Atlanta, Georgia, or in Los Angeles.
