In the Illithid dungeon, there is a lootable table that apparently has two different areas highlighted by tab. The table itself lights up, along with a triangular shape near the end of the table. I can loot the main part but getting to the other loot point seems impossible.
Does anyone here know how to get to it, or if it even has anything in it worth bothering with?
And by the way, my sorcerer is starting to pick up level 9 spells, and besides time stop and chain contingency, I can't decide what to get and don't know how many level 9 spells he is able to pick. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks.
Strange lootable table in one of the underdark dungeons (spoilers)

If you have XP capp removed, then you will eventually be able to pick up to 5.
If not... I'm unsure. 3 or 4.
Spell Trap if you're having Tactical mods.
Wish if you have decent wisdom (and have means to raise it to 18)
Imprisonment if you want some fun, but useless in ToB spell. You can use it for endless spells trick instead of power word : kill though.
Shapechange is cheesy.
Don't use TAB when trying to open the small part of the table. Just slowly mouse over it.

Thanks again. Awesome guide you have. Most of your spell picks line up with mine but I went with Simulacrum instead of project image, and most of the scrolls in the game have been burned on my backup mage for XP . Is PJ better than Simulacrum then? I have to admit it hasn't been used very much...
I'm not too worried about it so far; sorcy is murdering everything in the underdark without much help from his teammates. Improved Alacrity + Time Stop + Robe of Vecna and Amulet of Power + 4-5 Horrid Wiltings = everything dies. Throw in a planetar if he really wants to destroy things. I'm not sure what Ascension will bring though, I have practically no experience with it and am trying not to spoil myself too much.
The table is probably not worth worrying about. I've given up on it after 20 minutes trying to get the mouse just right.
Thanks for your time man.

I think the table has part of the Equalizer sword. At any rate, it's not very useful.
There are two reasons why Project Image is better than Simulacrum in my opinion, and one why it's worse.
Worse : With Simulacrum you can act at the same time!
Better : Project Image has your entire spellbook, Simulacrum just 60 or 80%
Better : Project Image allows for endless spells tricks much sooner than Simulacrum.
Also, there's a helmet that allows Simulacrum, is there not?
I believe Project Image can summon a Simulacrum, but i am unsure if it works the other way too.
Also : I tend to not use lvl 9 spells prior to Impr Irenicus if im high enough lvl.
Regards!
