Yes, it's called Two weapon fighting, which would lower your penalties by 2 in each hand, landing you with a +0/-2 instead of the -2/-4

This is actually untrue.

The Two weapon fighting feat works like this-

Without the feat, your main hand has a -6 to attack rolls, and your off hand has a -10.

With a light weapon in your off hand or a double weapon, it's -4/-8.

If you are using two light weapons or a light weapon and one handed weapon or a double weapon AND have the two weapon fighting feat, it's -2/-2.

If you are using two one handed weapons AND have two weapon fighting, it is -4/-4

Size only affects the damage (less) and +1 to attack rolls

Though it's not a straight damage modifier. You use weapons of Small size, indicated by an (S) in the weapon section.

I don't think Siberys would mind you buying a periapt of wisdom, but i believe off the top of my head they only come in +2/+4/+6 etc versions, and the lowest price is 4000 gold, you would be better off distributing your stats slightly different to accomplish the same goal.

There's a formula for basic magic item creation. A bonus to an ability score is Bonus Squared x 1000.

+1 x 1 x 1000 = 1000, so a +1 periapt of wisdom is 1000 gold.

If it can be created using [url="http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/creatingMagicItems.htm"]those formulas[/url], then I have no issue with a player making a custom item. If it's a complicated formula, just be sure to post exactly how you calculated it along with the item itself.

Simple answer: rogue level, rogue skills, all others cross class
ranger levels, ranger skills, all others cross class.

Re: Multiclassing-

Skills

If a skill is a class skill for any of a multiclass character’s classes, then character level determines a skill’s maximum rank. (The maximum rank for a class skill is 3 + character level.)

If a skill is not a class skill for any of a multiclass character’s classes, the maximum rank for that skill is one-half the maximum for a class skill.

Any, not all. Any semantically means that both the rogue and the ranger set of skills are now class skills for whenever he takes either, or even a prestige class. i.e. Use Magic Device, normally only a rogue skill, is now permanently HIS skill even if he takes more ranger levels.

@Treblin-

I'm assuming your scores are before racial modifications.

If so, your con is 16 and your dex is 12. If NOT, you've actually spent 2 too many points.

You also have 1 extra feat, your bonus exalted feat from Voluntary Poverty.

Finally, remember that you also have Evasion at 2nd level for monk.

I'm guessing the spells section for your cleric is just incomplete, not incorrect.

@Siberys,

Should mistsonata and I metagame a little bit to not choose overlapping rogue skills which might be more fun to justify the metagaming? I took disable trap just to take advantage of trapfinding.. but if theres another rogue that is interested I could more focus on outdoors things?

I am going to edit my post of my character sheet rather than repost.

Overlapping isn't necessary and it's far more beneficial to have the same skills than differing ones.

Say you both have disable device and are both rogues. If you have a +3 and she has a +5, you can roll a disable device check to aid her in her roll, and if you're disable device roll is 10 or above, she gains a +2 to her disable device roll to try and disable a trap.

Ok, two things now.

Players who wish to have an established residence may do so. Deposit of 10 gold and 30 gold per month is required. Claudius and MistSonata have asked me about this so these would be the rules for the both of you too.

If you wish to have a home, subtract 40 gold from your character sheet and you have one for a month. Subtract 370 gold and you have it for a year.

If you wish to OWN a home, it's 800 gold for a crappy home, 1100 for a decent home, 1500 for a nice home and 2000 gold for a royal/noble home. All homes, owned or rented, are unfurnished. If you want some basic furnishings, it's 10% of the cost of the home itself. If you want something complex, talk to me via PM and I'll point you to a book called "Stronghold Builders Guide" and work with you on that.

DM Tip- don't buy a home for the start of a game. Buy one later on when you have a few thousand gold to actually spare.

Ahh. Actually when I mentioned safe house I was thinking if I could make a check to stay with someone who was involved in the smuggling trade on a night's basis. If I fail the check they say no since at that time I am probably not smuggling (unless I bluff them and they don't know that).

No, no one is willing to do that. At this point, you're basically a fencer, you don't have much credibility other than moving basic goods and stuff. They don't really want to be seen with you due to how risky that could be.

How does hide work? I am used to crpg where if you prepare for a battle and they haven't seen you yet you just go poof. In original dnd there actually had to be a shadow in the room or terrain.

@Siberys, fencer and a guide right? I wanted to be someone involved in the outdoors aspect. So if there was a movement across terrain I wouldn't be carting or guarding I would be a guide helping to spot dangers or scouting.

Is an outdoors environment available or is the city the only habitable area? There could be an illegal craft that was being moved to the city but hidden somewhere else?

Maybe I don't know the rules for changelings. Or else a calculation error.

Edit: its me that made the error in my character. Back to the drawing board. I didn't notice that the points increased when you had extreme score!

It's not a rule for changelings versus other races.

Point buy is the exact same for every character. You spend 28 points in point buy and then and ONLY then apply racial modifiers.

All points start at 8 and cost nothing to start at that.

Score-Point Cost
6- +2
7- +1
8- 0
9- -1
10- -2
11- -3
12- -4
13- -5
14- -6
15- -8
16- -10
17- -13
18- -16

She spent a total of 30 points, and had 30 points to spend due to making her strength a 6 and gaining an extra 2 points.

It's not wise to correct people on something you don't know how to do.

Siberys, you might have missed a question I have asked in so many posts, but I wanted to know if it is possible to choose for example a LA+2 race and split the bonuses over several levels (up to you to decide) so we could start as level 3, effectively treating the race as having LA+0? Or maybe some similar house rule ...

I took note of your suggestion for an magic wielder and I am trying to read as much as possible to see what would the options be.

On other news, I wanted to let everyone know that next week by this time I will be away for my summer holiday and unavailable for 7 days. It's up to you to decide how I will join the campaign in this case. It's play by post anyway so it should not be a huge issue after all.
