How can I find out which mod(s) cause my game to crash?

Post by Sloty1984 »

I have a lot of mods(mostly weidu) installed and when I want to load the game it crashes(no intro screen just before it appears).
Can I find out which of the mods cause the crash?

I'm puzzled; do you even get to the screen where you have the option to load a save or start a new game? If you don't even get that far it's unlikely to be a mod, unless you are running one that tweaks the graphic settings.

No,the game crashes before the bioware logo and intro even come up.
I have no graphics mods installed.
Also after I installed some mods,I cant get into the games config anymore(config crashes).

Is there perhaps a list of mods which work together without any problems?

It's been my experience that mods only cause crashes when you try to load a game. The only time I experienced anything like you describe is when I installed something that actually replaced the executable or launcher.

The fact that you can't even open the configuration menu implies there is a more deep seated problem than just a dodgy mod or load order.

Hopefully someone with more in depth knowledge will stop by and be ab;e to help you.

Does someone perhaps a working install order/list of mods that work together without issues?

Perhaps for the major mods out there?

I usually go with:

1. Full install (SOA & TOB)
2. Official patch (if needed with game format you have, newer complete saga sets have it already, I believe)
3. Tweaks and Fixes
4. Banter's & Flirts
4. Conversion mods
5. NPC's
:) Once again time to give someone the boot to make room for Coran. LOL :)

Maybe list your Operating System and game version, as well as your mod setup and the order thereof.
