@Gu'Dan

From your last trip here, you know that a trip back to your Master's place will probably take a couple of days on foot. He is located in Elysium, the outskirts of Rhodes.

Nordak shakes his head,

We should move from here. Sundown could come here any minute, so we might want to leave unless we are prepared to face him. I certainly don't feel like I can tackle him at this moment.

Unless someone has additional ideas on how to help the poor guy over here I suggest we take our leave.

How inconveinent!

"I completely forgot Master G'fn'ki was two days out from where we are, my mind is clouded by the mission at hand I appologize. The only other thing I can think of is the device that controlled the door may also manipulate the device. Perhaps leaving the Midnight Owl here and getting some rest knowing we at least have locatated him would give us some peace of mind.

"Indeed, let us take leave. we are not at full strength and we need a plan. Sundown must be some kind of Mage and his arm is long as a kingpin of crime."

He sheaths his daggers.

"Sundown has seen us all in suspicious light tonight aside from you sir monk. And even in your case I wouldn't doubt he has eyes in his pub. I counsel we swing by the warlocks shack and search treasure. He seemed rather rich in platinum and we can snatch the spice venom worth twenty thousand gold.

Who can we trust to oppose sundown? The city officials are bought. Perhaps the official representing skia or the church."

Nordak nods,

A very good idea little man. We should try to find a Skia church and report what we have found. Then we definitively need to go and check warlock's shack. Maybe we can even find more useful clues or extra loot.

He then throws an encouraging look to Midnight Owl,

Don't worry we will be back very soon. Just hang on!

Nordak addresses Jeronius,

Before we go, there is a cloak we found on the warlock. Can you give it a look and maybe you can figure out its use. Sounds funny I know, but what if it could be useful here?

"cloak", the diminutive ugly humanoid croaks. Jeronis picks up the pearls if still there and glances at the cloak.

Apraise d20 + 2 = 19 + 2
=21

"not that I partake but let's check out this wine", he mumbles as he stoops turning each bottle
Appraise roll 11 + 2 = 13
Search roll 1 + 7 = 8

"Let us dismember the body and cart off. We can try to contain the blood with the cloak", as an evil glimmer comes to eye. "mayhap we ransack the wine and disguise the act as burglary and disguise any blood in broken bottles and wine."

@Jeronis

The cloak is extremely fine quality, and you notice a slight glow to it.

(sorry for the abseness I was moving and well internet connection was limited)

Shile crosses her arms,

"It won't take a genius to figure out that someone was here.. just look at the mess at Owl's feet" Shile says pointing at the broken bottles and then at his battered arm. "Sundown will probably add more counter measures and spooky things to keep us away next time, remember that door summoned creepers and such?"

"If we cannot break the chains, then how about we find a way to wake him up?

"I'd hate to leave owl here, but if you feel like leaving and resting be prepare to not find him here next time or find an even greater challenge to overcome."

Shile looks a bit upset but remains still and her face with little emotion.
Have you seen my brain around here? No? well in case you see it its brainy and squishy looking. If you see it let me know

@Everyone,

It might behoove you to discuss this in the players thread where it's intended.

Once you've reached a decision as to where you go or what you do, post here.

No, the wine is fairly ordinary, ranging from 5 to 30 years old.
