Hi everybody, first I've got to tell you that I'm italian and my english is very bad, then I ask you to forgive my big mistakes. I have chosen this board because I didn't find an italian one.
So, my question is: what does MD stands for? I found this acronym in the Pomab's shop (yes, I have just started the game), written near the price of items and a number in brackets.

Sorry for the stupid question, but I'm totally new to the D&D based games, in addiction to this I don't know almost anything about D&D rules and I thought it was a hard thing lol. I have the manuals, though.

Look for the AD&D rules and 3rd Edition Ruleset. Icewind Dale II uses 3rd edition, the other games (BG, IWD, ...) uses AD&D (a.k.a. 2nd Edition) rules.
Yes, the number in brackets indicates the amount of a given item in the shop. On your screenshot, for example, three chainmails can be bought.
At the risk of being Captain Obvious - you can also sell items from your inventory, for less than they're worth of course. Items sold will be at the shop to be bought back if you change your mind, but you'll have to pay more than you got for selling them. If I remember correctly, money was not hard to raise in Icewind Dale, though.
And I don't see much wrong with your English, we're an international forum here and it's a second language for most of us. So don't worry and ask away
