Ego Draconis hotkeys bar

Post by Floriad »

I am new to the game, at level 9 with a few points to invest. Playing as a warrior, so far, I have put a few points in whirlwind and one in jump attack, and maybe one in firebolt, to better damage distant enemies.
But the manual is sketchy on how to add those skills to the hotkey toolbar at the bottom of the game page. I have tried to use the interface menu, but when I click on an empty spot all that I can add are more consumables. The only skill is Whirlwind and my other combat skill does not appear on the menu.
I can use a bit of help here, please.
Thanks, Floriad.

Open your skillscreen, then (right)click on the hotkey on the bar you want to use and select your skill from the ensueing dropdown menu.

When you pause, click on a hotkey slot (near the bottom), and (if necessary) click the 'Skills' button in the Quickmapping window, it should list all active skills that you know.

Did you double check that you actually clicked 'Accept' at the bottom right of the skill window for the other skill you learned (after using the little arrow icon to add skill points)?
If you open up the skill window and you have at least level 1 in an active skill, you can drag and drop it into one of the hotkey slots (aiming the cursor towards the bottom of the slot).

You can also assigning hotkeys by holding down the appropriate number for a couple of seconds.

If you pause the game you can bring up the 'Item and Skill List', as well, but from there you can only use skills that do not need a target.

Jump Attack is a passive skill, so can not be hotkeyed. The effect is automatic whenever you jump and then attack an opponent (ie Space, then left click before you hit the ground).

Okay, I did not catch that jump attack was a passive skill. I will add firebolt and follow your instructions... and thanks.
