@Rail: I imagined at the beginning that everyone would have a stronghold, but things seem to be going pretty smoothly with only three. In fact, Magus's and Ubik's are the only ones really used, since Seabass operates from the Planar Sphere. Your character does fine without a set place to call his own, Aegis calls the temple his home, and Fallout seems nomadic. I don't know about Trip-Wire, but he could easily be a traveler as well.
BTW: Void's really enjoying himself

Everyone take note that Void is rather inconspicuous, and is only seen if he wants to be seen.
Magus observes the conversation with amusement. As Aran turns to him, he sobers.
Magus: Indeed, Aran. I've gathered some friends together, as I said I would. Have you got any more information on Ubik?
Aran: Yes, but most is yet to come. Good intelligence takes time, my impatient friend. But I think I've identified their hideout. A mage of power was seen entering the Planar Sphere accompanied by an experienced fighter. I've also had word of increased activity in the sewers near there. Weasel, the nefarious cavalier, was seen traveling through the sewers towards the Planar Sphere. He hasn't been seen since. Also, the Temple of Helm was broken into recently by two unknown culprits. One must have been an accomplished thief, and judging from the piles of molten armor that were the only remains of a group of temple guards, the other was a powerful magic-user. This wouldn't be important, but for the item that was stolen. My agents have gleaned that the culprits didn't take any of the Order's famed treasures; only an ancient holy book. The book is said to contain divinations by some of Helm's most trusted augerers; divinations regarding the history of ancient divine artifacts...
Magus: It's obvious that the Planar Sphere has a new occupant. I sense a potent scrying barrier around it. There's definitely a mage of great power within, the report of golems confirms that. As for the temple incident, it could be unrelated, but I highly doubt it. The sightings of Ubik in the area, the activity around the Planar Sphere, and the temple incident all lead to one conclusion: Ubik's back, he's found a new lair, and he's already a step ahead of us in finding the artifact.
Aran: My conclusion exactly. After that golem incident, I fear sending in my thieves would be most unwise. So it's up to you if you want any more intelligence on that place. I'll continue monitoring the activity around the Sphere, and any strange happenings that occur.
Magus: You have my thanks, Aran.
Aran looks annoyed.
Aran: I'm not doing this for you, my good mage. I'm doing this because I don't want a crazy necromancer on the loose in my city. It's bad for business, you know.
Magus grins: You never change, Aran. This meeting has been most enlightening. Keep up the good work.
Aran (sarcastically): Yes sir!
With that, Magus chants yet another teleport spell, and the party finds themselves back in the library of The Rift.
@Melosh-tar: The aerial servant will talk to Magus now.
@Weasel: I think I'll fit in KidD01 while I'm curing Melosh-tar.
@Party of Good: I've got to go now. I'll try to keep up with this during the week (M-F), but I'm making no guarrantees. Feel free to help advance the plot while I'm gone. The aerial servant will notify Magus that he needs to meet Quayle at the CC. Melosh-tar can cover that if I'm not here. I'll fit KidD01 in, unless he shows up and does it himself. Other than that, you guys can help come up with a plan on what to do next to stop Ubik. I don't think an immediate frontal assault on the Planar Sphere would be wise, considering what happened last time

Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow.
