BG2 replayable with the same char?
I was just wandering is it a good idea to play my same char over again. I hope on a bigger difficulty it won't be too easy (when I imported my old char the difficulty was automatically set to the second lvl I think). Anyway if it's possible recommend me a difficulty on which I should start. I'm a lvl 16 (or 17) sorc.

Well, since at the end you acquire Immunity from Normal Weapons, it's quite boring replaying the game with the same character.
Bu the way, where's the fun in playing the same character again? Perhaps if you're Neutral you can now play another party, but that's not that likely. You get the same stronghold again, you don't get to see the strengths and weaknesses of the other classes, if you were a spellcaster you might wanna be a warrior this time just for a change... and so on.
I'd recommend replaying it with a totally new character, there's much more fun, and it's a bit more fair too. At level 17, you'll push your enemies aside saying "you ain't worth the XP..." That's boring...

I havn't reached the exp cap. I havn't even reached any 9 lvl spells. I'm just asking if it is gonna be too easy (although right now I'll probably play with an evil bounty hunter, so I'll continiue to play with my current char later on).

Ok thanx. I'll start a new char and save my current for another time (BGIII?).
Edit> when I finished I was told by the elf queen that i was given some amulet. Any info on that?

I think you are all wrong...
Playing with the same character is also fun... (as long as you remove the xp cap)
First of all the game is MUCH more difficult. i'll give an example: in planar sphere, were you enter with few xp points when you first play the game and the monsters are not supposed to be too tough, i met a halfing which used disintegrate and spell turning and other high level spells.
i started the game with my lvl 17 neromancer (lvl 18 now, 9th level spells ), but the rest of the group is weak yet, so the battles are difficult.
In planar sphere i also found a couple of adamantine golems which i do not remember seeing last time.
There is also the romance... when you play a second time you can choose another romance, or you can also choose different ways of completing the quests (killing the entire drow city sounds nice!)
