@DP: No. I was a Navy brat, but had long hair.
Then darkness took me, and I strayed out of thought and time

I have no idea what is so special about 70s, really...
Different culture, I guess.

The 70's where a time of change..The US lost a war...Women were making headway in a man only workplace...Free love had turned to nightspots...

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Do the women have to wear those frilly dresses?

The 70's? Wha...? Sorry I don't remember much about that time (I spent most of the late 60's early 70' in an
altered state of consciousness
).
I didn't even see 'Disco Fever' for the first time until sometime in the 80's! I did own bellbottoms and a Neru jacket tho'...

Of course not. Halter tops, hot pants, and go-go boots. Havn't you ever seen Goldie Hawn in laugh in? That's how I need you all to dress

Master Wavy, I don't think you should try to offense our female comrade unless you want to see another bra burning protests.

You speak nonsense
I don't think anyone could be offended by the idea of looking like Goldie Hawn did in 1972. Besides, did I even say they that bras should be worn? No, I did not.
