Part of the problem is that I don't know who I am. I know my identity, yeah. I'm Hotaru, the overly intellectual cute girl who likes to wear black miniskirts. But am I good person or bad person? I see myself as a bad person, yet my best friend seems to see me as a bad, mean, and cruel person. How do I know who's perception is right.

Edit: Damn Internet kicked off and deleted what I had originally said without me seeing that it had dones so.

*sigh* Like I said, my evening just keeps getting worse...

Well for starters, you may do a quasi-Buddhist thing and "isolate" yourself for awhile and do some self-reflection.

Wasn't a totally good son, brother, friend, student, lover, husband, catholic...

...but the isolation and self-reflection did a lot of wonders for me as I strive to be a better person. Such stuff gave me focus, and made me appreciate myself more without ending up conceited or self-serving.

Darn, I'm getting serious now... need my Thai whiskey!
