I'm off a bit from the trend on this post, but my two cents:
His speech was pretty forgettable. It seemed liked a surreal clip from SNL. (Just like all of yesterday, surreal.) Short and to the point I suppose, but nothing that reverberates. Not that anyone would want to remember yesterday.
Needless to say though, I don't think anyone here should require insperation to act.
Give blood, pray, just do whatever you can.
May the resolution bring justice and punishment to only, and all of the guilty.

If you think about it, Bush is under more stress over this than any of us. Not only does he have to deal with the personal shock the same as all of us, he also has to deal with the fact that he was a target, that the people of the nation he serves were attacked, that his decisions can make or break the world, and that everyone is watching him for what is giong to happen next. I don't think I could be in Bush's position and stop crying long enough to give a speech even half as long as the one he gave.

A very good point Sailor Saturn. I think Bush is showing he's capable of much more than people have been given him credit for. I'm anxious to see how he handles this crisis.Originally posted by Sailor Saturn:

@White Rabbit, Now is definitely not the time to quibble about religion. The first time anyone’s faith is trodden upon we’re all damaged (that applies to Muslims, Christians, Jews, etc.). Let me go out on a limb and say I like Bush, even more so for his declaration: “We will make no distinction between the terrorists who committed these acts and those who harbor them.” I thought the speech was a good one and his quoting of Psalm 23 brought a slight smile to my face. America may be in the valley of the shadow of death, but I will fear no evil, for the Lord is with me.
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
