I'd like to offer my condolences to all those people affected by the acts of terrorism that have rocked America (many of whom belong to the GameBanshee Community as seen by the other posts on this board). My heart felt sympathies go out to the victims at this terrible time.

Here in Australia we're recieving live feeds from NBC, CNN and ABC. We have watched these events unfold in real time. Despite this, i can only imagine the emotional impact that this must be having on the people of America.

Thoughts also go out to the families of the 3 confirmed Australian deaths in NYCity, and the families of those 58 Australian citizens still unaccounted for.

No, but seriously - the point of terrorisism is TERROR. They want to scare their foe into doing something. In the case of Osama Bin Laden, it is stop supporting Israel, hoping that without US support the arab nations would be able to crush the Israelies in battle.

Of course they don't understand the Rule of Law; and they do not understand that politically, abandoning Israel would be suicide. Let alone the fact that a factionalized mid east under purely Arab rule would be worse than the current armed peace.

It is really quite frustrating to know that the WTC and Pentagon Kamikaze flights will do the exact opposite that Osama Bin Laden wants: we will be firmer in support of Israel, more unders5tanding of their anti-terrorism efforts, and very vigorous in pursuing him, wherever on earth he plans to go. We are at the point that we will declare war on any country that harbors him.
