Just a quick question, sorry if it's been posted and answered before, I tried to use the search faacility but to no avail.
Right then I'm thinking of playing a thief for the first time in BGII. Now I know in the rule book it says that thieves are limited as to what armours they can wear, but do any of the armours that they are allowed to wear effect their thieving skills.
Eg. In PnP ADnD a thief wearing "no armour" gets a bonus to certain thieving skills, a thief wearing studded leather gets a penalty, a thief wearing elven chain gets an even greater penalty and a bard wearing normal chain (thieves can't wear normal chain) gets an even greater penalty than that of elven chain. Do these bonuses, and or penalties follow through into BGII.

There is PDF file in BG directory, that contains manual.
Crisis? No, there won't be any crisis next week, my agenda is already full!

Armor definitely affects your thieving skills; when I put Elfin Chain on my thief his skills were decreased. I believe that Studded Leather or lower has no effect.
