Is the chapel key found in the red dragon lair in SoA used on anything in ToB? I finaly cleaned out my bags of holding and found it, lose it or keep it for something?

No it is not use in ToB, just throw it away if you want to.

If I remember correctly, it opens a door in the lair. But that door can be picked, so people just do that instead of using the key.

Nope, there is absolutely no use for the chapel key, it was for a quest that was dropped.
