****SPOILER**** Alignment shift

Post by Anatres »

I don't know exactly when, but all of a sudden I notice my PC has changed from Chaotic Good to Neutral Evil. I noticed right after leaving the Pocket Plane for the first time.

I'm thinking it may have something to do with taking Sarevok into my group.

Incidently, my rep did not decrease.

Has anyone else experienced this? Or am I just being dense for some reason (not uncommon :D ).

Such an alignment change is usually indicative of failing one of the trials in hell prior to facing Irenicus.

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Why, it doesn't affect anything, maybe the choice in the end, but I think it's based on reputation...you could always shadowkeep it back...

How is that done then, I can't figure it out. In caracteristics my alignment is still what it used to be, chaotic good.

The ony thing I could find is in affects, alignment change but I'm unsure what to change here.
I heard if it's deleted the game won't work good anymore.

Go to the Local Affects part of your character and delete type 0x039 - I think this was the one. Can't remember, I posted it a while ago in the SoA forum - do a search for Cancelling Alignment Change.

I'm sure a lot of other people will be able to help. :)

Anyway, I just found it - Type: 0x0039, check that Param 2 is 35. Delete this from the Local Affects or your character.

i have noticed that alignment can change in the pocket plane after the first challenge, if you have to fight paladins and elves.. :)
if you only have to fight kobalds and drow, orgrillion etc, you are unchanged. perhaps it is a bug that if you are neutral or chaotic then these are spawned for retribution on occasion?
