For God Of Air...as discussed....

Here is my Avenger's spell book in ToB at level 28:

Level 1 – 11 memory slots

Armour of Faith
Bless
Chromatic Orb
Cure Light Wounds
Entangle
Shillelagh
Detect Evil
Doom

Level 2 – 10 memory slots

Barkskin
Charm Person/Animal
Find Traps
Flame Blade
Slow Poison
Resist Fire/cold
Know Alignment
Goodberries
Detect Evil
Web

Level 3 – 9 memory slots

Call Lightning
Cure Disease
Cure Medium Wounds
Dispel Magic
Miscast Magic
Lightning Bolt
Invisibility Purge
Hold Animal
Protection From Fire
Rigid Thinking
Strength of One
Summon Insects

Level 4 – 9 memory slots

Animal Summoning 1
Call Woodland Beings
Cause Serious Wounds
Cloak of Fear
Cure Serious Wounds
Death Ward
Defensive Harmony
Farsight
Improved Invisibility
Negative Plane Protection
Neutralise Poison
Protection From Lightning

Level 5 – 9 memory slots

Cause Critical Wounds
Animal Summoning II
Chaos
Chaotic Commands
Cure Critical Wounds
Insect Plague
Iron Skin
Magic Resistance
Mass Cure
Pixie Dust
True Seeing

Level 6 – 7 memory slots

Summon Fire Elemental
Animal Summoning III
Chain Lightning
Conjure Animals
Dolorous Decay
Fire Seeds
Harm
Heal
Physical Mirror
Wonderous Recall

Level 7 – 7 memory slots

Aura of Flaming Death
Confusion
Conjure Earth Elemental
Creeping Doom
Earthquake
Elemental Summoning
Energy Blades
Fire Storm
Globe of Blades
Greater Elemental Summoning
Implosion
Mass Raise Dead
Nature’s Beauty
Regeneration
Shield of Archons
Storm of Vengeance
Summon Fallen Deva *rolleyes* failed test in hell.... ;)

She also has some impressive shape changing abilities very early on (a sword spider has AC-5, improved dexterity and an attack that can cut through stone skin). In ToB they earn the ability to shape change into fire and earth elementals.

As you can see, and Avenger also has one mage spell per level, upto level five. The memory slots are dictated by the stats - my current Avenger has wisdom of 16 *rolleyes*. Deciding to take a druid from BG1, I intend to find all the tomes - thus my new Avenger base stats will stand at:

str 19
dex 18
con 19
int 10
wis 19
cha 16

Pretty impressive for a druid - even if the Avenger is the aggressors of the druid class. This new druid will make for a more impressive Avenger than my current one by the fact her base stats will be higher. BTW, neither of these characters have been hacked :)

@Onyx, she is powerful, but without being over powerful like some of the classes...she is fun to play. Also, with some stat modifiers, can be easily considered a tank..my own dual wields scimitars. The main downfall is they are limited to druid weapon proficiencies (and two slots) and armour - though this is more than compensated for with the spell book and shape changing abilities. My current avenger in ToB has red dragon scale and ring of protection +1. It is only possible to equip both of these if they are equipped before you install ToB - otherwise the dragon scale receives it's magical abilities and ToB will not let you equip any protection rings. Her AC is -9, so she effectively tanks my party. I have her on aggressive script and do not worry about her too much! :D

Druids

I like the idea of the druid and nature and stuff but it seems to me that druids got jipped.

It seems to me that they are a wattered down mage and cleric put together.
one class that i have found that is extremely powerfull was the Kensai druid, put 2in 2 handed and 5 in the staff and use the staff of the woodlands and if u need something more powerfull there is the staff of the ram in tob. having the staff is like having full plate +1 because it as barkskin ac 3 and then it has a automatic +3 to ac. I have never played this char all the way though but I did cheat and see what it would be like, you could probally go solo with this class, cast barkskin on yourself when you need it. the ac of it keeps increasing, also if u dont want to wait for the staff of the woodlands you can go after the staff of the magi.

@GOA - it looks like you have done some homework ;) I guess the decision lies in whether you want an uber character (as kensai's seem to work out). BTW, a druid also has ironskins, much better - and longer lasting - than bark skin ;)

So are you saying a kensai druid as opposed to a fighter avenger? :) I still like the Avengers spell book! :D

druids

I guess this depends on weighter u want to be more of a fighter or more of a spell caster.
the nice thing about barkskin is that it improves ac, use that and iron skins :D

stalkers

I have one more question i forgot to ask
if I be a stalker should i have a bow and then single handed.
or should i dual wield.
now that i think about it should i also have a 2 handed weapon with the single handed? :(
so many choices

LOL! :D I didn't doubt it's legality, but you would not be able to have a kensai/avenger since they are both SoA kits ;)

Re your stalker question, I would put proficiencies in bow - since it is a ranger class - but then go for single weapon bonuses as it increases ac IIRC...

Kensai/Avenger would be just too powerfull :p no one would be it because it would make the game too easy :D

i also had a thought about the stalker, just imagine how fast he would be with the taralash, boots of speed. and ammy of cheta speed :D :D
mabey that would be better for an archer though?

I have never played an archer. Recently I was playing online and imported both my avenger and my stalker. Admittedly there were a few levels different - but the stalker was left wanting... :)

:D Just think of an archer thats an fighter behind everyone :D
the only problem is that his weapons dont affect as much till tob when he can get +4 arrows.

@Yshania: How about a psionic ranger/cleric with a proficiency in water cannons? :D j/k

Just wanted to tell you that I obtained BG today on your and Der-Draigon's advice. Look forward to playing it soon. :)

I'll look at the druid as a possibility...

It is good to see you are giving it a go - enjoy! - a few others you know have returned to it too ;)

You're thinking about trying a druid? *laughs* don't tell Gwally ;) :D

*smiles* Except for the fact that my characters are always better looking than his, I'm sure we could find a way to come to a balance about this. Well.... maybe not in the jacuzzi environment.... :D

I played a mage/thief through SoA and ToB and I have to say, for me personally, that I was disappointed that I couldn't melee as much as I wanted. So I will definately consider this in playing BG. The good thing was I could have more tanks, since I didn't need a thief. :)
