Post by Ned Flanders »

Going through Icewind Dale once again with a different type of party. Anyway, in black wolf temple, level 1 within the vale of shadows, I killed the myrkul's sending and he did not have Dazer. Am I missing something here, I thought it to be on his corpse. Didn't find it in searching the room. Am i missing something. thanks

Dazer is one of those random items that Myrkal's Sending drops.

random, generally meaning, this item might not always appear upon defeating this enemy. Additional questions: Can you use a CLUA console for IWD and/or shadowkeeper type program.

Yes, and yes. To be able to use the cheats, you must have the latest patch for Icewind Dale (it may be automatically included in HoW, if you have the expansion). To enable cheats, you must add the line Cheats=1 to your icewind.ini file under [Game Options]. To bring up the game console, press CRTL+Tab. Instead of typing CLUAConsole:, type CheatersDoProsper: for Icewind Dale, and GetYourCheatOn: for HoW. Examples:

CheatersDoProsper:CreateItem("itemx",n) for Icewind Dale
-or-
GetYourCheatOn:CreateItem("itemx",n) for HoW

If you want to use cheats like CRTL+J, you must first enter the following at the game console everytime you start the game:

CheatersDoProsper:EnableCheatKeys(); (IWD)
-or-
GetYourCheatOn:EnableCheatKeys(); (HoW)

Finally, you can download Dalekeeper to edit your savegames.

has anyone got any other actual codes for items?
I am talking about the random items that peple may have missed without knowing it, like the dazer for example, i was lucky enough to get it the first time though.

You can use DaleKeeper to look at the item codes. ;)

The IWD section here on GB also has the item codes in the equipment section
IWD Equipment
If you're looking for a printable list, try one of the downloads from here
IWD
or HoW Down at the bottom past the cheat codes is a link to a download by Chris Joss (for both pages) this is an Adobe file that has all the items divided by type in one section with the codes.
