which creatures are "undead"?

Post by EBTO »

I would like to start a new game as an undead hunter, but before starting out, it would be handy to know which creatures are classified "undead" - so i can turn them or blast them with daystar. It is so cool vaporizing them with these.

zombies?
baalors?
liches?
vampires?
skeletons?
demon knights?

anybody with a definitive list?

Remember Evil Clerics, when they turn something, gain control over it

Good Clerics, when turning something, blasts it out of existence
,,What are you planning, Shalifi? If you choose to turn your back on the world and everything within it there is only one thing left!"

,,Yes, apprentice, you are right."

,,But it's madness, Shalifi!"

,,It's possible! It is only you who cannot grasp the idea of becomming a divine presence, Fool!"

I don't think I have ever seen a vampiric mind flayer before...

BTW, is neverwinter nights out yet, or is it still a work in progress?

Yes, there are vampiric mind flayers. I think there is one in the labyrinth under Spellhold, or in the Underdark.

As bone golems are a construction sort of monster I don't think they count as undead. Sadly.

Skeleton Warrior
Lacedon
Greater Mummy - disease
Ghoul Lord
Sea Zombie Lord

The Spectre is a level draining undead too but the one that exits in BG2 can't be fought or turned as far as I know and it doesn't drain levels, it just kills you.

Bone Golems are not Undead. Cannot be turned and see characters protected by Undead - they are one of the easier golems though.

Oh, they are undead, they can be turned, killed instantly with a Mace of Distruption and everything.
Itch. It itches to feel you cleave to the song of my mettle,
to yield and surrender in nearly every way;
if not in all the important ways.
