Sewer key & Anomen quest
Sewer key & Anomen quest
Two questions for y'all---
1. I "lost" my sewer key. I understand this is used to get into both hidden areas in the sewer. How can I get it back?
2. Is there any way to change your main character's advice to Anomen, regarding his sister's death? I would have liked to have advised him to let by gones be by gones. Any suggestions?

The sewer key you get from Windspear (I think) opens the Mind Flayer dungeon (The hidden door to the east) in the Temple sewers.
The one to the west is Mekrath's tower. You can get in after you talk to the bards in the Inn at Bridge district.
There's no other way around the key except some kind of cheat.

I think you can fix the Anomen thing with CLUA console but I have no clue how.... you'll have to wait for the geniuses

To help you change the situation with Anomen, more information is needed. Has Anomen taken revenge yet? If yes, did he go back & talk to his father about it?
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...
What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Baldor, your problem will be fixed within minutes now, since Sojourner is in it
He helped me, too. With almost the same problem with Anomen. I tried to figure it out alon, but didn't get the knack.
Thanx again to Sojourner for fast and competent help

I suggest you have Anomen NOT take revenge. If it's your first time playing, you will soo see why. It's really worth keeping him along for some test, a bit later in the game. Enjoy

The worst sins are those which you are going to regret the most not having done them when you could!
You can get in anyway. You just need to detect the door.Originally posted by Delita

Simply use ShadowKeeper to get it back. This excellent editor is a must for all devoted BG2 players:Originally posted by Baldor

baldor - you will find the key in the windspear hills I think.
Check the walkthrough for further details. But be ready for a hard fight behind that door. For me it was one of the hardest in the game...

No, it won't - you do need the proper key. If you've truly lost it, then use ShadowKeeper to get it back as I suggested. If you haven't found the key yet, go to Windspear Hill in order to meet Tazok.Originally posted by Baldor

I have detected the Mind Flayer's door but it will not open. I thought I needed a key. Will "knock" work?

@Baldor: To fix the situation with Anomen, you'll need to change a couple of global variables, which you can do either with ShadowKeeper or at the console.
ShadowKeeper method: Open your savegame and click on the Global Variables tab. Scroll down the list and find AnomenDecide, and change its value to 4. Next, find KillSaerk, and change its value to 2.
Console method: Enter the following lines at the console:
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("AnomenDecide","global",4)
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("KillSaerk","global",2)
