The First Dungeon

Why does the first dungeon suck so much? It's the only dungeon in the game you have to go through every single time and it is the worst one. Does anyone know of any way to get around the first dungeon or anything like that(I don't care if it's a cheat or whatever as long as I don't have to do that crappy dungeon again)?
