Weapon proficiencies questions

Post by Bellamar »

Without the Grand Mastery patch, is there a reason to GM in any skill?
What bonuses does Dual Wield gives you above 2 pr. points?
Is it better to invest more in dual wield and less in the wielded weapon?
Should I give the Crom Fayer to my priest who can GM/HM in it and lose the usefulness of the str bones of Holy Might, or should I give it to my fighter who will dual wield it with only 1 pr. point?

How many more pr. points do fighters get in comparison to rangers?

Go with the fighter.

If it was me I would use the hammer with the fighter and duel with it. Since you get the 25 str with it. It will give you alot of bonus like +7 to hit and +14 on damage. With this hammer you can make any one in to a fighting machine. ;)

Don't really bother Grand Mastering unless you're a fighter that wants uses only two handed stuff or one handed stuff.

It's best not to hand it over to your priest because you'll want to use other weapons later but you'll lose the str. bonus.

I did this with Valyger by giving him the long sword Angurvadal with 22 str on his off hand so he'll always have the strength bonus so I can take the girdles off of him.

Wielding Blackrazor offhand is another alternative. :D
