Durlags tower lower level 1 (SPOILERS)

Post by Locke Da'averan »

This is something that has never happened to me before... i've been through durlags tower before, but this time when i assemble the gong mallet, it disappears  , it's not in any of the chars inventories, thus i can't hit the damn gong, next i read the epic stories and make the sword glow, talk to the warden-->nothing happens he says the same lines again and again, i press the wine for love and same thing again, i bring the beljuril stone and yet again nothing, this is starting to piss me off, i was thinking of completing the tower in one RL day, but with these "minor" problems it's kind of hard.

I'm sure most of you already know this, but the easiest way to walk around easily in the corridors/open the chests etc. is to cast prot. from lightning&fire on a fighter or two, they can bash most of the coffins open, and since all the trap spells are either fire or lightning based(except for one or two cloudkill traps) they don't take any damage, easier than first detecting traps and then removeing them, if you even can, hope it helps, and hope i get some help too :( :(

Was your inventory full when you assembled the mallet? It may have appeared on the floor. Also, did you move a party member into the Sword's line-of-sight and listen to its speech? You have to do this to get Pride to acknowledge you. Did you bring the Beljuril to the right Warder (Greed)? :) Love won't accept the Wine from you until you've completed the other Warders' tasks.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Yes i talked to all the warders, no my inventory was not full, and i tried to talk to the sword, i walked around the room quite some time, strange though... i tried reloading the autosave before entering the 1 level and it was always the same thing...

when i decided to try if im totally screwed and loaded a game before entering durlags tower it worked fine.

this is far fetched, but i did go to nashkel to sell the winter wolf hides after i had already been inside the tower, that might've been it in some weird manner, i can't think of any other explanation..
