A couple of questions...

Post by Corrigan »

Now I know everyone has already figured these things out...I play the game whenever I get a chance at lunch time so I don't get much gaming done...so don't laugh at my easy questions :o ..

Now...I'm in the Windspear Hills...in the dungeon trying to fight a gaurdian...this one is after the beholder and is invisible. I cast dispell magic and detect invisible and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? Any pointers?

Also...when I use my wand of monster summoning it says I can only control 5 creatures at a time...In BG I I could fill up a room with no problem...did the rules change?...or do I need a patch?

Thanks in advance...

In order to kill the last guardian you must first kill all the other guardians, they will drop mask parts after you have the mask - wear it and you 'll be able to see the last guardian... and kill him.

In BG2 you can only have 5 summons, it's not a bug... but if you want more cast simulacrum (dunno how to spell it) and he'll be able to summon unlimited monsters.

Actually, Detect Invisibility should work. I had Jan use his goggles, and we never bothered with the mask parts. Worked fine. Of course the person who casts the spell has to be in the same room as the spirit--which is what you did, right?

True Sight always works.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Eh, maybe it's True Sight that Jan's goggles have.

Yep, that's it. Oh, well. :D

why waste a lvl 5 spell when u can do the same thing with lvl 3 spell (or cloak of) non-detection?

In my case, for 2 reasons:

1)I use the improved cloak of prot. +2
2)It's really unclear how that cloak works. The description says
almost nothing. And after a bit of testing, it seems to work sometimes
against True Sight, but not ALWAYS.
In any case, I really don't think that it prevents EVERY illusion spell
from being dispelled by a True Sight...
