About books!

How do you use the books (non evils ones!) you find like ranman meditations...
Do you equip them and if yes where and how?

Just having them in your inventory puts them into effect.

Yes as skuld said too, having any book with magical abilities in your inventory you automatically get the bonuses/penalties from it. if the books has some spell effect charged on it you can use it to cast the spell the way you use all the magic items.
