Jaheria Equipment

My party consists of:

PC neutral half elven cleric/mage
Korgan
Jaheira
Jan
Keldorn

I was wondering what I should equip Jaheria with? She's mostly a backup priest and fighter, and I'm using her as a bodyguard type for my PC. Any suggestions on weapons/armor?

Give her the best armour you can give her, and give her a club or a scimitar. Give her a good shield (her AC can get REALLY low). Switch between the melee weapons and a sling.

Give her a spear, like the impaler.

unless, and I always do, switch for diff situations, like from spear to shield and spectral brand.

give her boots of speed and ixls spike, for free action action...giggle...

best sling is erlinne sling from watchers...

currently playing her as shapeshifter druid...no armor...yikes!!!

You can get her AC down to -9 without even giving her the best equipment. Arm her with a club and a scimtar and the shield of haramony (which you can get pretty quickly) and she is good to go and against most foes.

But dont let her super low AC fool you, she cant hang in the frontlines with the big boys. Always have her tagging slightly behind so she engages last and the enemies wont target her.


Pretty much all the low AC does is give you time to pull her back in case anyone does target her and allow her to get real close to cast spells without getting disrupted.

Staff of the Woodlands is the best staff for a druid like Jaheira. Slings of Everad, Avoreen and Erinne are good on her too. With the elven chain that gives immunity to normal weapons, she can fight toe to toe with the frontliners in your party if needs be.

If you do a specific quest in the Underdark you can also find a decent +3 scimitar (check in the equipment area of the walkthrough on this site )
