Only spoilers for the first 2 minutes of the game really...
I`ve been playing BG2 quite insanely the past few days and I`ve just made it to the Abyss in SoA (playing the game for the second time through now). Now I have to face the usually dilemma, who to throw out so I can have Sarevok?
Not getting him is quite out of the question, as my party has no pure fighters in it or anything;
-Me, the Elf Assassin wearing Shadowdragon Scale-mail, wielding Cuthroat n`stuff...
-Haer`Dalis waving the Soulreaver around (I`ll give this to Sarevok and make Haer use Wave, though).
-Jan with the Firetooth and casting spells.
-Imoen with the lightning bow (the one from the Trademeet market) and casting spells.
-Anomen crushing skulls with Skullcrusher and casting cleric stuff.
-Viconia with the Hammer of Thunderbolts (after getting the rest of the Crom Fayer kit I realised that I had lost the scroll somewhere and didn`t bother with looking for it) and clerical stuff.
The reason for my party assembly is purely trying new things out, so I chose the exactly opposite chars that I did in my first game (except Imoen, who I might dump for Nalia just to try her out).
Anyways, who do you wise and experienced vets think should go?
Who to ditch for Sarevok?
Who to ditch for Sarevok?
Ozzing off

I would dump Amonem, he's not a very good fighter or a very good cleric (although he is pretty good allaround) but since you have Viconia as a cleric there isn´t realy any need for Amonem.
To bad you missed Gessen and Crom Fayer btw.
If you lost the scroll, just edit it in or something, cause it´s a great weapon.

I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.
I'd say get ride of vic, but if you have a romance with her get ride of anomen
If I asked, would you answer? Its your problem. Its a deep, deep problem. I have no way to ask about that... I have no elegant way of stepping into your heart without tracking in filth. So I will wait. Someday, when you want to tell me, tell me then. -Bleach

If you are a thief why do you need Jan? Unless you want to hear his wisecracking( or his spike trap)...
I think Nalia or Aerie would be more usefull.. or even Jaheira. Unlike other people, I really like Anomen. I think he is the best cleric in the game. With his high HP, and weapon skill, he can be your front line fighter while being a clerlic.
I say dump Haer'Dalis. He really doesn't offer much, and he really is annoying to play. Only interesting thing going for him is love triangle with Aerie(and.. again.. spike trap).
Unless you want to finish the game with spick trap alone, drop Haer'Dalis.

There can be...
No good without evil
No heaven without hell
No love without hate
No innocence without lust..

I tend to stick with the ideal D&D team, A ranger, theif, mage, cleric and two fighters. This always works best for me. But I say get rid of vic her spells are sic but u need a good healer in your party (Anomen). And get that scroll for the hammer you dont realise how good it is to you complete it.
