really can't think of anyone to play the pc, she is the only one i could think of at 4 am.

i've always felt that anomen was the intense, moody type with hints of danger. especially when you first meet him. but my movie is a fantasy after all, so i'll want russel crowe to be anomen :D :D

but i can't figure out cernd, who do you think?

noober- scott green

(could someone tell me how to do quotes?)

In physical apppearance I think that Anomen looks a bit like Joseph Fiennes (Mmmmm), but his personality would not be right, Joseph generally seems to be the cheerful type. So yes, probably Russel Crowe (also nice!).
I don't know about Cernd. I actually find his portrait quite attractive though (too bad he wasn't more useful ;) )Adam Beach maybe??? Although he might be too young, and again I don't know about personality.

angelina jolie!!

i still can't figure cernd...maybe... a young richard charvez...had a crush on him as a kid when watching 'war of the world' tv series...something about men in uniform....i wouldn't mind at all if ralph fiennes plays anomen...intense...brooding....those eyes...ymmmm

i think that frodo looked like any hobbit, but when reading 'lord of the rings', i've always been partial to merry and pippin. :D

Oh yeah, I think that big brother Ralph is even more attractive than Joseph, and his personality would be perfect (just the right combination of danger, brooding and charm). "The English Patient" particularly did him justice.
The reason I suggested Joseph is that his face more moreso ressembles Anomen's. Also, he did quite well in "Shakespeare in Love", so he seems to play period pieces quite well.

And who's going to play Imoen then? I think that Sean Connery will play Keldorn and Martin Short will play Noober.

If you're talking Fiennes, has to be Fiennes Jr.! But neither of them really seem right... I'm thinking maybe Joaquin Phoenix as Anomen. Too bad I can't find a pic of him with a beard!

A very expensive CGI creature that costs two million dollars per five seconds of footage. :D
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Mmmm Joachim Phoenix as Anomen, yes I could definitely see that. He's also a versatile actor (the Abbe of "Quills" vs. "The Gladiator." So he'd certainly have an insight into the complexity that is Anomen.

Ralf Moeller (who played Maximus’ big friend in Gladiator and starred in the Conan the Barbarian T.V. show) would make a great Minsc. He was Mr. Universe for two years and is 6’6’’, 270 lb. He also has the accent going for him (he’s from Germany) and has had plenty of experience swinging swords. The Practice’s Marla Sokoloff would be terrific as Imoen. She has look and the attitude. As always I’ve brought visual aids to support my opinions. ;) :D

:D Just imagine him bald and carrying a hamster...

P.S. I think most of the actors I’ve suggested would realistically work a movie like BG. Granted, a BG movie isn’t all that likely, but if it did happen we couldn’t have all Superstars. I think lesser-known character actors would be better in most parts. ;)

How about David Warner as Irenicus? He does the voice in the game, and is a very talented actor.

It depends on how does he looks like. Irenicus should be played by tall guy.

But I still think that this is bad idea to produce such a movie e.g. Mortal Combat movie - it was awful !

I think that games simply cannot be used as a basis of movies - all players have their own strategies/preferences and there would be only small group of satisfied people.

Well, this movie will never come about, but I can imagine the preview for it now.
Dragons fly above, visions of fighting, the words honor, love, death flash across the screen. More battles are shown, a closs up of a kobold killing a farmer, faces of the major npcs flash across the screen along with fire emblazzened. Cuts to black, suddenly Minsc (Arnold) fills the screen, his piercing eyes staring at the audience. "WHO ARE YOU? Let Boo take a look at you." close up of Boo, cute little eyes staring at the audience, whiskers twitching. Fade to black.

I personally feel the PC should be an unknown and young. This should be their first movie, as the PC can be 'anyone'...

Somebody mentioned Geoffrey Rush as Irenicus. I definitely agree. Did anyone see his performance as the Marquis de Sade in Quills? IMHO he deserved best actor for his role, he was amazing.

How about John Malkovich as Irenicus? (I don't have a clue what David Warner looks like, but great voice, obviously...)

Yes, Joaquin Phoenix as Anomen, that idea's definitely growing on me...

But I really hope they never make a movie of it. I mean please, name one computer game spin-off movie that was good? Baaaaad, baaaaaad plan.

And even if they did make one, I agree with Kayless, you couldn't have a superstar cast. I mean look at us, we're mostly trying to fit the characters to well-known actors, not choosing actors to fit the parts. I think everyone who plays the gamr has far too much of a sense of what the characters are like from playing, so putting big actors into the roles wouldn't be right.

All the more reason not to do it!
