GOLD GOLD GOLD(Septims, heheeh)

Post by Greyhawk »

On third or so quest with Mages, got one from Ajira, Belmora Mages guild, to switch a "fake soul gem for real one upstairs"
The guy is on his way downstairs... you pass him on the stairs, and go up to his room at the top, place the fake soul gem in his desk as instructed. Then steal EVERYTHING off his desk.
Hold yur horses, those who have been looking for septims/gold:
Soul Gem
Common: 7200
Common: 2800
Grand: 60,000
Greater: 6000
Lesser: 20
Lesser: 400
Lesser: 300
Petty: 300
Petty: 200
Petty: 100
Think there are some other stuff too like worth 1500(?)
Nuff said.
Gold is no longer a problem.

Earlier, went to a temple off the road between Caldera and
Anasreth, Graar Mok passes(gotta look, was way too tired to
record). Inside, use Invis potion basic or advanced...steal glass
emerald dagger and three emeralds for 150 each.

Could you perhaps indicate in your thread title that this is a spoiler? Not that it caught me; been there, done that. But a lot of people haven't. Thanks. :)

Note that the soul gems are pretty hard to get rid of. Few people have the money to buy 'em, and most would rather not. They're really worth it if you have a decent enchanting skill, and want to try it.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

don't try to sell the soul gems back to her. She recognizes them as her own and the whole guild comes down on you. I find this tactic way out of character, at least for me, since I joined the mages guild with good intentions
Crush enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the women.

Yeah, my character is really only loyal to the mage guild and the Telvanni, in fact she will rarely steal anything, usually she will pick locks for the practice and then not take stuff. However, as an enchanter herself, she has too much greed for soul gems to be able to restrain herself from stealing them as bad as it might make her feel to rip off her friend...the potential knowledge gained from studying those gems was just a little too much for her.

And the thread should be marked ---spoiler----, we don't want this forum becoming like some where you have to read the posts while peeking between your fingers for all the crappy spoilers.
May you walk on warrrrm sannd....

hmm last time I tried to join talvanni they didn't come of as a nice type, in fact I think they said something along the lines of "if you manage to steal from another Telvanni then you should keep it cause the he doesn't deserve it if he can't keep it safe." IMHO joinining the Telvanni and the Mage Guild is a contradiction cause even though they are both for mages their ideologies are totally opposite of each other, but that's just me.

Well you have some good points ares although I think they are really more similar than you might think...although the mages guild is officially more service oriented and humane than the Telvanni, in reality in dealing with the mages guild you see the same sort of plotting and political backstabbing that you see with the Telvanni. I think wizards are wizards, they are all selfish and mainly driven by the desire for knowledge, consequences be damned.

Not to go on and on with the RP stuff, but my character is definitely put off by the times that she is asked to do questionable things by either the mages or the telvanni, however actually only the mages guild have flat-out asked her to go kill someone, and they've done it several times. She believes that the Telvanni wizards are making wrong choices by staying in their towers, and that if they were to go out into the world more they would not be as jaded and eccentric (to put it mildly), yet she admires their knowledge and history. Given that she is anti-empire herself, their history of defiance of the empire fits well with her (much better than the Hlaalu compromisers). She is a Breton as well, and as you might know High Rock is actually ruled by dark elves.....
