Chapter one: I killed to the two golem guards before visiting the alarmed room (so they don't come running), and have done this many times before in other games.
This game, after getting the loot from the alarmed room I headed to the Air elemental door and while waiting outside it, I was attacked by a single clay golem, weird as I thought I had killed them both. After killing it and entering the plane I talked to the genie and left the plane, back at the dungeon I was attacked again by a lessor clay golem so I went about fighting it, I was scoring hits but no damage, I held the mouse over the golem and the little status indicator said the golem was dead??!!
As I couln't kill the golem I got wasted and came straigth here.
Any thoughts?
DEAD golem attacks?!
DEAD golem attacks?!

As far as I remember weren't there three golems? anyway- to hurt a clay golem I believe you need a blunt weapon (or whatever category a staff is in).
@Rav: The trolls have nothing to do with it. Trolls regenerate. meaning- you have to get them to near death, at which point they will fall down for a few seconds. They can only be killed permanently by fire or acid.

trolls are naturally unkillable...
they have a min hp item, that if you take them down to near dead you actually have to let up on the damage, so they have a chance for their script to work....
hit troll many times, they drop in hp to near death, their script kicks in, if you let them alone for a second or so, and their script reads, hp 1, fall down, and drop unkillable minhp item...
so if you hit a troll too often for their script to kick in, they will continue to take damage, and script never triggers, so you cna only take them down by attribute drain...like mindflayre int drain...
i really like and prefer using the slay effect, hitting them with a frag grenade under g deathblow...
wes, the guy who wrote sola explained this to me...

Yeah, that happened to me a couple of times. Must have given those trolls thousands of damage before understanding that they had no time to fall down to their funeral pyre. I'm not sure but I think the Stun effect of Celestial Fury might have had something to do with it as well (even though trolls wear a Ring of Free Action, IIRC).

Life seems short considering how long you will be dead.

Yes, I know... I had one of them lying around dead, with a red circle around it (or white... can't remember), but it eventually rose to full health, then I pounded it to near death, it fell over, then I applied Flail of Ages liberallyOriginally posted by Morlock
