the actions of Eerhardt
Since Ned put up part of it, here's the...
History of the Rolling Thunder TM a.k.a. the Mobile Party Thread
(WARNING: long post)
It all started back in 2002. January 19th, to be exact. It was Opening Day for
Bloodstalker's Tavern of Neutrality. It soon became a renowned place, with its croc wrestling in the croc pit, organized by one of the tavern's security guards and with its other fishslapping security guard, with some strange affairs involving disappearing miniskirts and with Buzzy, the beer drinking bear, known to have developed a special taste for the tavern brewer's own brew: moonshine. With shine-induced bunnies hopping about the place and all sorts of
less legal activities going on, it was a good thing the tavern owner could always rely on the skills of its trustworthy tavern lawyer. In spite of all his skills, however, not even the famous tavern lawyer could prevent foreclosure in
a courtroom case and BToN was closed on February, 28th …
Meanwhile, BToN's former tavern brewer and its former tavern lawyer had already found a way to circumvent the law and opened the relocated BToN tavern under the name of
Ned's springfield cartel the very same day the officials closed down BToN. Unfortunately, due to the recent foreclosure, a few concessions had to be made. One of them entailed dubbing the shine with the codeword
fruit punch. Those were dire days, indeed…
It wasn't until a few days after the opening of Ned's springfield cartel, that the term SLURRing was introduced by the tavern brewer in
a discussion about Comm and Spam. SLURRing would later become the trademark of the Rolling Thunder.
At that time, though, there was no mention of the Rolling Thunder or the Mobile Party Thread… yet. But it was around that time Beldin and Eerhardt had made their first appearance and pledged allegiance to the
Righteous order of SLURRS.
It was also around that time that BToN's former security guard in charge of the croc pit opened up a tavern of his own, called
The Old Banshee. So it came to be that Beldin and Eerhardt SLURRed away at both
The Old Banshee and
Ned's springfield cartel. With the former owner of Bloodstalker's Tavern of Neutrality setting in motion a series of experiments with
shock treatment - inspired by VoodooDali's comment on a Rehab Center - a new era in the history of the Mobile Party Thread had started.
While the idea of
BS-sized pints and
Electric Shine Stingers had already been marketed, Beldin and Eerhardt now started experimenting on different electrified alcoholic drinks. With all these new drinks, the need for a different medium of consuming these fluids arose and Beldin introduced the
horse-sized pints. Soon, there would also be
Electrified Composite headbanger C0cktails and, at a later stage,
Massive Chug C0cktails or MC²,
Buck's FIZZes,
Purple Beer,
Black Beer, the limited edition
Dark Flames' drinks,
Glowing Intoxicating Giddy Groggy Liquored-up Energizers or GIGGLEs and
Fuzzy Handcuff Shooters (
original copyright@DW). Even a special
Columbian Coffee Brew was invented to ensure constant boozing without having to worry about hang-overs.
Life was good and all was going well, until the officials announced another
tavern closing spree on April 9th. It was then that the Rolling Thunder was first introduced: a black Mack truck, which contained a pocket plane (see ToB), so that it could hold many recreational facilities (e.g. a hottub and pooltable). Primarily, however, the Rolling Thunder (TM) was considered to be a moving tavern, preventing final closure.
Since then, the Rolling Thunder has always been on the move, party-crashing various threads, like
Ned's discriminatory hall of incessant belittling,
The Old Banshee,
The New Empire/Republic House of Holy Deeds,
BS's jouney thru SYM's tunnels ISO love,
Fable's Pancake and Spam Emporium, in both the
Dark Flame Discussion Thread II and
The Order of the Dark Flame: Book 5, in
The club for the self obsessed narcissist who drinks ****tails,
Happy Birthday, Beldin!,
SYM Factions,
CIA Safehouse,
Charity Bar,
Dragon Wench's Home for the Depraved,
Dragons drinks: hotel and pub,
World Cup 2002 for a change of scenery,
Rolling Thunder's very own,
Happy Birthday, Noble Paladin,
AC's Bar and Grrrrril and
The Spears-Martin Dartboard Room. As the Rolling Thunder's reputation grew, Ned even threw a
surprise party for the Rolling Thunder SLURRs.
Undoubtedly, Rolling Thunder will continue its mission of practicing the principle of SLURRing while bringing parties to different threads, which could lead to a few other
interesting episodes, like

Ode and Fas' contribution to the "Yo' Momma" concept,
