I'm wondering what is the deal with Magnus. He's joined my group, but his reaction to me is suspicious. If I have him wait somewhere, I can't get him to rejoin. He never really refuses to join in words but never appears back in my group of followers. I had to reload from before I asked him to wait.

Also at the end of an extended fight he had hostiled Virgil and me. I also noticed that Virgil had gone from neutral to hatred in reaction after we finished off Magnus. I wonder if I hit them with friendly fire? Will Fireflash damage my followers? I reloaded from prior to the battle, and will try again.

Am I having problems with Magnus because I'm a magic user and dwarves are technologically oriented?

Thanks for any tips.

The Magnus join problem has been fixed in the latest patch. You shouldn't have that problem if you have it installed.

Follower's reaction can shift if they are caught in friendly fire. Fireflash will do that, as well as pretty much anything else they get hit by... That's a problem that hasn't been fixed too well. I suggest reloading before the battle and moving the followers a bit away from the fight and/or using non-ranged/area effect attacks if you have them.

Your moral indicator also has to be to the liking of some party NPCs. Being too good, or too evil, or even a preference for magic or mechanics will cause some NPCs to drop out of your group. It's dynamic as well, meaning that if your moral valence shifts as the game plays out, some folks might leave.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Remedy

I did notice that after the Orgy in Stillwater, everyone was much happier (as they should be).

I tried Madam Lil, but that didn't help.

Does sex at Madam Lil serve any function?

The walkthrough mentiones that Madam Tussan's quest gets you a blessing but I didn't get one. Did anyone get one?

The orgy

Umm...I backtracked to change the ending to the quest with Waramon and when I went back to Stillwater...the orgy didn't do anything.

Did anyone notice a difference?
