I seem to have found a bug with Viconia's romance. I am a lawful good, level 14 mage. I have been romancing with Viconia. I have just started chapter 3. I was in the theives guild and i needed a rest. I went outside and slept. There was no dialogue.
Then in the morning, viconia was pissed off. She said she couldn't bear to watch me. One response i could say was
"is this because i refused to sleep with you?" or something like that. I was never offered to sleep with her. i don't get it.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any solutions?
I'm sort of anxious to really be offered...
I don't know if telling this helps at all, but i figured something wierd out. I'm in the docks right? Well I seem to be able to sleep at the inn (Sea Bounty's Tavern) without having the dialoge appear in the morning. Hope this helps someone in figguring out what wrong. PLEASE, if you know a solution or some helpful info, post it.
If you haven't already, enable Debug Mode by entering the following line under [Program Options] to your baldur.ini file:
Debug Mode=1
Re-start your game, and while holding your cursor over Viconia, enter the following at the console:
CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("LoveTalk","LOCALS")
What does it return? Also, are you still in Chapter 3? What is your party reputation? What mods or patches do you have installed? Do you have ToB?

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.
I typed in what you said. I tried resting but the same thing happened. My reputation is average, 10 i think. I'm still in chapter 3. I hope this helps you at all
Viconia will throw several temper tantrums at you several times throughout the relationship from ridiculing your manhood to thinking you're not worthy to be child of Bhaal (bad dialogue here). They come out of the blue. Did you sleep with Viconia yet?
Fly Boy, I've experienced this bug before. There's probably some way to juggle variables and fix it but it'd probably be very hard to do. Only other way of 'fixing' it is to re-load and hope it doesn't happen again. For what it's worth, I don't think this will spoil the rest of the romance/quest, though.
Sorry for not replying sooner, didn't have time to look into the problem. There might have been a problem with one of Viconia's scripts - although I'm not entirely sure how this particular script actually works. Anyway, if you have a savegame before the the problem, then unzip the file and put the VICONIAD.BCS file into the Override folder and then load up the savegame and rest. You should get the dialogue where she ask you.
If not then you can check whether or not the romance is still going by pressing CTRL + SPACE and type in CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("ViconiaRomanceActive","GLOBAL") and press ENTER. Look at the bottom panel and you should see a number there, if it's 1 then the romance is fine, if not then type in CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("ViconiaRomanceActive","GLOBAL",1) and press ENTER. The romance will continue after that.
Sojourner: This is where the LoveTalk is at 40, apparently the VICONIAD.BCS - and similar D scripts - runs when you rest. The original file is a bit weird, so I coppied what the other one have, not really sure if this is the cause of the problem though.
My problem has been fixed. I downloaded and unzipped viconiab.zip. Then i set the lovetalk from 41 to 39 (40 didn't do anything). Well she asked me and everything is running fine.

LoveTalk at 40 is for the actual dialogue - the script add 1 to 39 and start the romance dialogue. If you set it to 40, then the script will add 1 to 40, set a timer and wait until the timer finishes, add 1 and then start another dialogue - which would be at 42.
Don't worry too much about Viconia being angry with you at the moment, she's always angry at the early stage of the romance.
